Thank You Diane Goetsch & Christine D’Angelo for Outstanding Board Service

Forward Performing Arts extends its deepest gratitude to Diane Goetsch and Christine D’Angelo as they complete their terms of service on the Board of Directors. Their leadership, dedication, and countless contributions have left a lasting impact on our organization.

Diane Goetsch: A Legacy of Leadership & Connection

Diane joined the Board in 2018 after serving as the show coordinator for the DCI Northwoods Classic in Wausau. As Board Chair from 2019 to 2020, she provided critical leadership during a pivotal time, guiding the organization through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Diane was a driving force in strengthening alumni relations, forging a stronger connection between the Board and the Madison Scouts Alumni Association.

Her leadership extended to the Governance Committee, where she played an instrumental role in enhancing Board operations. Most notably, Diane was a key leader in the historic 2019 decision to expand the Madison Scouts to all-gender membership, ensuring a more inclusive future for the corps.

Christine D’Angelo: A Champion for Governance & Member Protection

Christine joined the Board in 2019, bringing her legal expertise, organizational insight, and leadership experience from her time as a dedicated parent volunteer with the Madison Scouts. As a member of the Governance Committee—and later as Vice Chair (2022-2024)—she helped restructure the Board and bylaws in 2021, implementing best practices to strengthen Board effectiveness.

Christine also played a pivotal role in enhancing member protection policies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all. She led improvements to the whistleblower policy and provided steady leadership in the investigation and resolution of key concerns. In the fall of 2024, she stepped up as interim Chair, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to the organization.

A Lasting Impact

Both Diane and Christine have been exceptional leaders and advocates for Forward Performing Arts. Their efforts have shaped the future of our organization, and their passion for our mission will not be forgotten.

We thank them for their service and wish them all the best in their future endeavors!
