The Madison Scouts are pleased to announce that the corps will travel to the west coast during the first two weeks of the 2016 Drum Corps International summer tour. Beginning the season in Northern California, the corps will perform in four events around the San Francisco Bay Area including the DCI West premier event held at the beautiful Stanford Stadium on the campus of Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
The tour will continue downstate to Southern California with shows in the Los Angeles and San Diego area. The second weekend will be highlighted by a Saturday night performance at the iconic Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. As the Scouts return to the Midwest they will perform in Mesa, Arizona.The last time the Madison Scouts performed in California was at the 2007 DCI Championships and the last time the corps toured the west coast was in 2004 for the post-season Tournament of Champions.“We are excited to be taking the Scouts to the West Coast”, said Chris Komnick, Executive Director. “It will be a great experience for our members to tour in that part of the country and perform in some great and historic venues.
