Phantom Regiment To Honor Madison Scouts at Home Show

In special recognition of the Madison Scouts 75th anniversary, the Phantom Regiment and Madison Scouts drum and bugle corps announce that they will together play “You’ll Never Walk Alone” at the Show of Shows in Belvidere, IL on June 21st.“The 75 year anniversary is a special milestone in this activity and we are very pleased to celebrate and honor the Scouts with this combined performance,” said Phantom Regiment executive director Rick Valenzuela.“You’ll Never Walk Alone” was written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein for the musical “Carousel”. It was first played by the Madison Scouts in 1955 and eventually became the corps’ song. Following the Phantom Regiment’s home show encore, the two corps will unite on the field to play the song.“We’re very honored to share this moment with the Phantom Regiment,” said Madison Scouts executive director Chris Komnick. “Our corps have been great competitors over the years, but it is performance moments like this that will certainly be memorable for the corps members and the fans alike.”The Show of Shows is the Phantom Regiment home show.
