As promised, the battle for financial supremacy was epic. All fighters came out swinging, each delivering a series of successful blows to their opponents. But in the end the Boston Crusaders took the title by raising a total of $43,893. Madison successfully raised $20,668 and newcomer Blue Knights were close behind at $20,105.
Corps directors Chris Komnick (Madison Scouts) and Mark Arnold (Blue Knights) will be wearing Boston Crusader shirts in Allentown and will appear in one interview while wearing Crusader shirts. During finals week the corps directors will again don the shirt and pose in front of the Boston Crusaders equipment or kitchen truck for a photograph to commemorate the event.Over the winter both Madison and Blue Knights will learn, play, record and post Conquest on their respective Facebook pages. All corps wish to acknowledge the generosity of their alumni, fans, and extended drum corps families. Without your support this fundraising effort would be impossible. The Old School Challenge comes at a time during the competitive season when the funds are most needed. If you didn't get a chance to participate in this challenge, all three corps are still gratefully accepting donations.
