The Madison Scouts are pleased to announce Greg Mizak and Nick Putnam as Assistant Corps Directors.GREG MIZAK
Continuing a deep family tradition of performance in Drum Corps International, Greg marched with Glassmen (‘12) and Madison Scouts from (‘13-’16), holding various roles in servant leadership. With an enduring emphasis on the strengthening of staff and member culture, he remained with the corps in 2017 and 2018, adopting new responsibilities within the management team. While implementing logistic strategy and helping to oversee the daily operations of the corps, Greg’s focus is largely devoted to the continuity and maturation of the Madison Scouts experience.Outside of the drum corps, Greg has worked in association with collegiate athletic programs and youth performance groups. He received degrees in graphic and interactive design, photography, and art history from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Currently living in New York, Greg is attending Syracuse University as a graduate student in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.NICK PUTNAM
Nick Putnam began serving on the Madison Scouts management team in 2018. In his current role, he will work to assist with daily operation of the corps during the summer tour. In addition to his service to the corps, Nick also lends his talents to the development and realization of Forward Leadership.Nick participated in Drum Corps International as a performer for both the Spokane Thunder (‘11-’13) and Madison Scouts (‘15-’17).Nick currently resides in San Marcos, CA where he dedicates his time working as a drill designer and visual instructor for multiple high school groups in the San Diego area. He also serves as Assistant Director with Pulse Percussion and Marketing Intern with Learn Fresh Education Company.“Nick and Greg have contributed greatly to both the logistical and cultural development successes of the corps in recent years," said Corps Director David Lofy. "They are committed to serving the membership of the Madison Scouts through Forward Leadership, individual mentorship, and excellence in their work. We are certain they will continue to serve as excellent examples for our membership in these new roles.”
