Madison Scouts Announce David Veda as Color Guard Caption Supervisor

The Madison Scouts are pleased to announce that David Veda will serve as Color Guard Caption Supervisor. David Veda has over 30 years of pageantry arts experience having served as a designer and clinician for drum corps, winter guard and marching band. He spent 15 years with the Madison Scouts, first as a performer, then as a designer and instructor. During his tenure, the Scouts won a Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championship and Best Color Guard award.

"It is a great pleasure to welcome David back to the Madison Scouts," said Chris Komnick, Executive Director. "As a member, instructor, and designer, David was instrumental in the shaping and development of the Madison Scouts color guard program. He establish its identity and standard for excellence and achieved great results."Most recently, Veda spent three years as a caption manager with the Phantom Regiment color guard, one year as a designer and clinician for the Denver Blue Knights and the Santa Clara Vanguard. Other pageantry arts design credits include Homestead H.S. (IN), Elizabethtown H.S. (KY), Pomona H.S. (CO), Green Valley H.S. (NV), McGavock H.S. (TN), and Father Ryan H.S. (TN).Outside of the pageantry arts, Mr. Veda has worked as a floor manager for the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, TN. Mr. Veda has also served as the Assistant Company Manager and Press Coordinator for the national tour of Grease with Cindy Williams and Eddie Mekka and for an original theater production called Storm at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Most recently he has worked with Spamalot at the Wynn Las Vegas, The Beauty of Magic with Hans Klok and Pamela Anderson at Planet Hollywood, and Jersey Boys at both the Palazzo and Paris Resorts and Casinos in Las Vegas, NV.
