The Madison Scouts are pleased to welcome Jason Robb as program coordinator and announce the 2020 design team including Noah Bellamy (visual designer), Joshua Wendt (visual coordinator), Jennifer "Jenifo" Leseth (color guard designer), Daniel Montoya Jr. (brass arranger/composer), Matt Hahn (front ensemble arranger & electronics designer), and Ryan Ellis (battery arranger).Jason Robb
Jason is currently the Director of Bands at Rouse High School in Leander, Texas. In his second year at Rouse High School, they advanced to the UIL 5A State Marching Contest Finals for the first time in school history. In the spring of 2018, Jason was named the Phi Beta Mu Texas Young Bandmaster of the Year. Before that he served on the band staff at Cedar Park High School in Cedar Park, TX. While at Cedar Park, the program captured a UIL Texas State Marching Championship in 2015.Jason previously served on the brass staff for Madison from 2008 to 2014 and marched in the mellophone line from 2002-2004. Through his company J•Robb designs, he works with programs across the country designing and coordinating pageantry productions, creating drill designs, and consulting with program directors and their students. He also spends his summers as a leadership facilitator for the SASi leadership company based in Austin, Texas.Noah Bellamy
Noah currently lives in Canton, MI where he is the visual designer and consultant for the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Marching Band. After marching with the Cavaliers in 1996, Noah went on to teach visual performance at Centerville High School. While serving as a visual specialist and caption head from 1997-2005, the band won 12 Bands Of America Regional Championships, as well as the high visual award at Grand National Championships in 2003.Noah is the visual designer for WGI World Class finalists, Infinity Percussion as well as for the 2010 and 2011 WGI Open Class silver medalist, Stryke Percussion. Noah was also on the design team for The Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps where he served as the visual coordinator in 2013 and 2014 and the visual designer from 2015-2017. In 2019, Noah served on the visual team for the Crossmen. He is a graduate of Indiana University and then earned a masters in jazz performance from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.Joshua Wendt
Joshua has served marching bands and drum corps in various capacities for the last 10 years. He currently instructs, designs, and choreographs for a plethora of programs around the country including multiple BOA Grand National Finalists. Joshua has worked with Phantom Regiment and Carolina Crown both as a choreographer for the horn line as well as a member of the visual team.Joshua's artistic talents also extend into the indoor arena as well where he is the current creative director for Unity Percussion (2019 Independent A Class Champions), Ancient City Ensemble (2019 Independent Open Class Finalist), Stryke Wynds (2019 Independent World Winds Silver Medalist), in addition to various scholastic programs.Jennifer Leseth
Jennifer Leseth is a Chicago native with 30-plus years of performance, instruction, and design experience in the pageantry arts. Jennifer started performing at an early age and her passion for the art grew as she performed with color guards such as Destiny (IL), Guardsmen (IL), State Street Review (WI), and Escapade (OH) as well as the Phantom Regiment ( IL) and Cadets of Bergen County (NJ).
Her experience with drum corps includes serving as color guard caption head for Bluecoats (OH), Crossmen (TX), Madison Scouts (WI), Carolina Crown (SC), Phantom Regiment (IL) and Santa Clara Vanguard (CA). On a high school level she has had the honor of leading the color guard programs at Marian Catholic (IL), Plymouth Canton (MI), Spring High School (TX), Winston Churchill (TX), LD Bell (TX), Flower Mound (TX) and Lincoln Way Community (IL). In addition, she served nine years as the color guard coordinator for The Army All American Marching Band as well as a long time consultant/choreographer with The Spirit of America Marching Band and winter percussion.
Some of her more current work is with The Calgary Stampede Show Band/Winter Guard and on the instructional team of the 2019 Bluecoats Indoor Winter Guard. She is currently a freelance designer, a clinician, and adjudicating. Outside of pageantry arts, Jennifer works for The Park Ridge Park District and is a certified event planner.
Daniel Montoya Jr.
Daniel has a master’s degree in wind conducting from Texas State University, a master’s degree in music composition from Central Michigan University, and a baccalaureate degree in music composition from Texas State University.Daniel's music has been performed by ensembles and institutions across the United States, including Baylor University, Brigham Young University, Indiana University, Michigan State University, University of Alabama, University of Michigan, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, and The United States Army Field Band.Montoya was Program Coordinator & Brass Composer/Arranger for The Guardians Drum & Bugle Corps (Houston, TX) and has written for and designed for Colts Drum & Bugle Corps (Dubuque, IA), Spirit of Atlanta (Atlanta, GA), and Revolution Drum & Bugle Corps (San Antonio, TX). Daniel currently judges for Bands of America as well as marching band contests and indoor percussion circuits across the United States.Matt Hahn
Matt Hahn is an active designer and percussion educator in the Dayton, OH area. He is currently the program coordinator, music designer, and assistant director of the Lebanon High School marching band and their indoor percussion ensemble. In 2012, Matt founded Resonant Music Design, a company specializing in marching arts design and education of all kinds.Matt was a member of Rhythm X from 2005 - 2008 and was a staff member from 2009 - 2015. Matt also was a member of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps from 2006 - 2007 in the front ensemble, and was a staff member from 2009 - 2012. Matt graduated from Miami University (OH) in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Music Education.Ryan Ellis
Ryan Ellis is an active music educator in the Cincinnati area and has performed with such ensembles as Rhythm X, Blue Devils, Bluecoats, and the Spirit of Atlanta.Ryan has taught and designed for many schools in the Ohio area as well as for WGI groups Redline and Connexus Independent. He was most recently the battery coordinator for the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps. Ryan currently serves as the percussion director at Lebanon City Schools (OH).
