Forward Performing Arts and the Madison Scouts are proud to be a participating sponsor at the 14th Annual Youth In Music (YIM) Marching Band Championship to be held October 13, 2018 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.“Forward Performing Arts and the Madison Scouts continue our mission to be advocates of the marching arts in the Midwest,” said Programs Director Dann Petersen. “We are again proud to help support The Youth In Music Marching Band Championships which provides a great stage for marching bands from Minnesota and Wisconsin”.“Youth In Music is again excited to have Forward Performing Arts and the Madison Scouts support our event,” said Youth In Music Executive Director Brent Turner. “The Madison Scouts were an important part of my development and gave me opportunities that have led to the formation of Youth in Music. Having the Madison Scouts, and other DCI groups in attendance, provides our participants a chance to learn more about the incredible opportunities that exist to participate in Drum Corps International (DCI) and Winter Guard International (WGI) groups.”The Madison Scouts will have a vendor booth at the event where you can meet representatives from the corps and discuss auditioning for the 2019 DCI season. Students can also learn about other Forward Performing Arts performing ensembles including Fleurish Winds WGI Indoor Ensemble, the MadBrass DCI SoundSport Team, and the Black Star Drum Line.
