The Madison Scouts are pleased to announce a celebration of the 1975 DCI World Championship Corps at this year's Drum On Parade to be held on Saturday, June 27th at Middleton High School near Madison, Wisconsin. "This year marks the 40th anniversary of our 1975 championship corps," said Executive Director Chris Komnick. "Drums on Parade is the perfect opportunity for the brotherhood to celebrate this great moment in our organization's history and salute the members of the 1975 corps."The festivities begin with the "Go for the Green" Annual Golf Outing, followed by the ever popular "Pre-Show Tailgate" featuring the hard-hitting Funk/Rock/R&B band The Big Payback. The tentative schedule is as follows:8 a.m. - "Go for the Green" Golf Outing - Location TBA3 p.m. - "Pre-Show Tailgate" featuring The Big Payback - Fireman's Park (next to stadium)7 p.m. - "Drums on Parade" - Middleton H.S. Stadium"Drums on Parade", celebrating its 63rd year, is the drum corps activity's oldest continuing event. This year's show will feature host corps the Madison Scouts along with the Bluecoats (Canton, OH), Blue Stars (La Crosse, WI), Colts (Dubuque, IA), Troopers (Casper, WY), Pioneer (Milwaukee, WI), Kilties (Racine, WI), and the Racine Scouts (Racine, WI)."We will be doing a number of things to commemorate the 1975 corps," said Komnick.
