Diane Goetsch & Brent Turner Join Forward Performing Arts Board

Forward Performing Arts is pleased to announce the appointment of Diane Goetsch and Brent Turner to the board of directors.

Diane Goetsch is currently the Arts Education Coordinator at DC Everest Area School District in Weston, Wisconsin. At DC Everest, she develops the K-12 curriculum, instruction, and assessment for the visual and performing arts programs that serve over 4000 students. In addition, she is an active music educator in the DC Everest Area School District, teaching instrumental music for grades 8-12 and general music for grades 6-7. Previously, Diane was the Music/Fine Arts Department Chair in the Merrill Area Public School District in Merrill, Wisconsin. She also currently serves as the show coordinator for The Northwood Classic DCI tour event in Wausau, Wisconsin.Diane is a member of the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), National Art Educators Association (NAEA), and the Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Luther College and Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University.

Brent Turner is passionate about the marching arts, youth development, and education. His professional vision is to focus his unique background in business, education, and the arts on improving youth development and the organizations that support them through musical & movement expression. His experience includes running large-scale marching arts events, teaching in public high school for 12 years, starting 3 of his own businesses, adjudicating the marching arts, and also instructing band and drum corps.Brent marched for 3 years with the Madison Scouts, taught the visual program for 7 years, and continues to mentor members through the N.A.I.L. program. He was the Corps Director for Minnesota Brass, Inc. and continues to assist DCI in the development of the DCI Minnesota tour event. Brent and his partners have built Youth In Music into a wonderful event that promotes music education and the marching arts, held annually at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.Brent holds a Masters of Education and Bachelors of Science (Human Relationship) from the University of Minnesota. He is currently the President of Youth in Music and a regional manager for Stanbury Uniforms.
