DCI 2020 Season Cancelled Amid COVID-19 Concerns

Due to the COVID-19 National Emergency crisis, Drum Corps International, with the support of the Madison Scouts and all its member corps, has canceled the 2020 Summer Tour.

DCI’s voting membership unanimously reached the difficult decision with great regret after thorough evaluation of numerous factors affecting participant health and safety, travel requirements, logistics, venue availability, and other associated issues. The membership also agreed that in order to preserve the opportunity for this year’s class of age-outs, performers will receive additional eligibility based on existing age requirements with a one-year extension.

The Madison Scouts have made plans to continue working with our students in a virtualized platform this summer as we prepare to return to the field in 2021. Students and parents will be contacted directly in the coming days regarding their participation this year and moving forward.

If you have purchased any tickets directly from the Madison Scouts in our VIP blocks for the regionals in St. Louis, Atlanta, Allentown, and the DCI World Championships, you will receive an email in the upcoming week to explore your options for a refund, voucher, or donation.

If you purchased tickets to any of our three hosted DCI events in Whitewater, Stevens Point, or Madison you will need to contact Drum Corps International directly as they handle all ticketing aspects for those events.

We appreciate your patience during this crisis. The Madison Scouts organization will be running a skeletal and virtualized staff in the upcoming weeks/months, so our response times will be impacted. You can expect the same situation in the DCI offices.
