PJ Tankard began his career in the marching arts as a member of the Elizabeth High School Marching Band in Elizabeth, NJ. His marching experience includes Alter Ego, Black Watch, The Bushwackers, Jersey Surf, and The Cadets.
His teaching experience ranges from novice through the world level. He previously taught the following ensembles: Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps (2005 Div 3 Champions, 2006 Div 3 Bronze Medalist), Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps, Union HS, West Orange HS (SA through SW and the 2014 SO Silver Medalist), AMP Winter Guard (2017-Present) and Madison Scouts (2021-Present). For the past four years, he has been a color guard and visual adjudicator for USBands and Mid-Atlantic Indoor Network.
Currently, PJ lives in Springfield, NJ and works at a Home Infusion/Specialty Pharmacy as the Director of Contract Management.
