Marybeth Willey is from Centerville, Ohio where she marched trumpet and flugelhorn in the Centerville Jazz Band and the Miami University Marching Band and was drum major for both ensembles. Beginning in 2006, Marybeth worked with the Fred J Miller Summer Clinic Program instructing drum majors and student leaders across the country for over 10 years.
Marybeth has taught a number of ensembles across the country working on visual staff and with drum majors. Her programs have been perennial BOA regional finalists and semifinalists at BOA Grand Nationals, performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, won state championships and performed in DCI finals. Marybeth is also a clinician with Marching Health athletic performance training.
Marybeth is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University in Social Studies Education and taught US History and government beginning in 2017. She then received her Masters in Educational Leadership from Furman University in 2023. She currently lives in Greenville, SC with her husband and is an Assistant Principal at Clover Middle School.
