Low Brass Instructor

Kelli Duncan is a euphonium player and low brass educator based in the Pacific Northwest. She recently earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in euphonium performance from the University of Oregon, where she studied with Michael Grose and served as a graduate teaching assistant. She also holds Master of Music and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Arizona State University, studying under Dr. Deanna Swoboda, Sam Pilafian, and Dr. Pat Stuckemeyer. Specializing in breathing techniques and performance psychology, Kelli emphasizes a science-based, music-driven approach to brass playing.

With over a decade of experience in the marching arts, Kelli was a member of The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps (2008–2011) and later served as Low Brass Coordinator and breathing specialist (2019–2023). She has taught brass at multiple high schools, worked with the ASU Sun Devil Marching Band, and was a graduate assistant for the Oregon Marching Band. Now based in Oregon, she continues to support the marching community as a clinician and adjudicator.
