Josh Donathan is from Brazil, IN, where he graduated from Northview High School in 2020. He began his independent marching career playing bass drum at Heat Wave Drum Corps in 2019. After a brief hiatus from marching due to the pandemic, Josh continued his marching career with Cap City 2 (2022), Phantom Regiment (2022), Cap City (2023), the Boston Crusaders (2023), and Rhythm X (2024).
Josh is currently based in Indianapolis, IN, where he attends IU Indianapolis, finishing his Bachelor's degree chemistry. He has taught various high school programs in Indiana and currently works as a battery instructor at Decatur Central High School (2024-present). His teaching also includes Zionsville High School (2023-2025), Cincinnati Tradition (2024), and Cap City Percussion (2025-present).
