Johnathon Bower recently completed his master's in Music Education and Trombone Performance at Eastern Michigan University. His graduate research centered around trombone pedagogy used at the Paris Conservatoire during the nineteenth century. John currently enjoys teaching marching band and teaching private lessons for Plymouth-Canton Community Schools and Clio Area Schools. John serves on the visual staffs at the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps and Cap City Percussion. John’s performance includes marching Glassmen from 2009-2012. In 2017, John performed with RhythmX Winds, winning a WGI World Championship. He is an avid orchestral performer, playing in several community orchestras, pit orchestras, and the Wayne State Orchestra.
