Jenna Bartz has been a music educator for eight years and is currently one of the band directors at Raytown High School and Raytown Middle School just outside of downtown Kansas City, MO. Jenna helps teach the high school Symphonic and Concert Bands, the middle school Intermediate and Advanced Bands, 6th grade beginning brass classes, and the Bluejay Pride Marching Band, where she serves as the visual director. While at Raytown, her middle school and high school bands have consistently received superior ratings at the state large ensemble festival.
Jenna attended Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, where she received a bachelor's degree in music, and masters degrees in both music education and trombone performance. While at Truman, Jenna performed at the MMEA annual convention three times and also at the CBDNA Southwest regional conference.
Jenna marched with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps for three seasons (2010-2012) before going on to teach on the brass staffs at Colts, Genesis, and the Madison Scouts. She also spent a few seasons on the instructional staff of the BOA Grand National Finalist Blue Springs High School Golden Regiment marching band.
In addition to teaching, Jenna is an active trombonist in Kansas City, performing with the Liberty Symphony Orchestra and the Northwinds Symphonic Band. Her professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education and the Missouri Music Educators Association.
