Esteban Chavez is pursuing a Master’s in Horn Performance at Texas Tech University, where he serves as a teaching assistant in the Horn Studio and performs with the TTU Symphonic Wind Ensemble, University Symphony Orchestra, Horn Octet, and Graduate Brass Quintet. He recently won a position with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.
He earned his Bachelor’s in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University, performing with various ensembles and serving as an undergraduate TA for The Lumberjack Marching Band.
A Madison Scouts mellophone alumnus (2021–2022), Esteban is excited to work with the next generation of Scouts. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, International Horn Society, International Horn Competition of America, and Kappa Kappa Psi.
Outside of music, he enjoys video games, cooking, and relaxing with his wife, Amanda, and their two cats, Pepper and Sugar.
