Daniel Copeland is a freelance percussion educator and performer originally from Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2019, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. During his undergraduate years, he performed with several Midwest marching organizations including the Iowa State Marching Band, Crossroads Indoor, and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. As an instructor, Daniel has served as a battery percussion specialist for several high schools & colleges. He has also served as the bass technician and battery coordinator for Crossroads Indoor for the last four seasons.
Daniel currently resides in Omaha, NE where he applies his scientific background in a clinical setting. He's ecstatic to return to the Madison Scouts for his fourth season on staff!
