Carter King is an active marching arts instructor, designer, and music educator within the Richmond, VA area. Graduating from James Madison University in 2025 with a Music Education degree, Carter marched with both The Cadets ('22, '23) and The Bluecoats ('24) and joined the Madison Scouts Brass Staff in 2025. Carter has taught a multitude of ensembles within the Virginia area, working with groups competing in the VMBC and AIA circuits for both outdoor and indoor ensembles respectively. Outside of teaching, Carter maintains an active performance schedule within Richmond and frequently backpacks in the Shenandoah Valley.
