Front Ensemble Instructor

Alexis Miller is a percussionist and trumpet player who has been involved in the independent marching arts since 2017. She began her performance career on trumpet with Minnesota Brass’s DCA Corps in 2017 and the Govenaires in 2018. From 2019 to 2023, Alexis was a front ensemble member with MBI Indoor Percussion, while also performing on trumpet with the Troopers in 2019 and MBI Soundsport in 2022. In the summer of 2023, she marched in the front ensemble with the Madison Scouts, and concluded her performance career with Monarch Independent Percussion after relocating to Texas.

While in Minnesota, Alexis served as an instructor for the Andover Marching Band, River Valley Percussion Theater, and the Dassel-Cokato Drumline. Since moving to Texas, she has worked with several programs including Paetow High School, Taylor High School, Travis High School, Waller High School, Music City Drum and Bugle Corps, and the 2025 PSW silver medalist, Bridgeland High School. In 2024, she was elected to the MBI Board of Directors and joined their administrative team.

Alexis is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and is passionate about giving back to the marching arts community that has given her a sense of home.
